In March of 2006 I was licensed by the FCC to operate an amatuer radio station as a technician using the callsign KC9JBM. You can find me on the Fort Atkinson repeater at a frequency of 145.490.
I use my radio skills to provide communication at a variety of events. From events like the Miller Ride for the Arts and the MC200 Relay , to facilitating communcation between fire departments giving mutual aid.
I also enjoy participating in field day which is an annual amateur radio exercise, widely sponsored by IARU regions and member organizations, encouraging emergency communications preparedness among amateur radio operators.
